As you gain in level, you will be able to learn new skills and spells. Each skill and spell requires practice to ensure they work every attempt. As you stop using certain skills and spells, you may forget how to effectively use them. Good Focus and Willpower allow you to retain your skills even after years of neglect.

You can always pay a guildmaster to help you practice your skill or spell.
