While you have Paranoid turned on, you will be inaudible to anyone who is connected to Ishar with an unencrypted network connection.

This will disallow some forms of third-party eavesdropping on your conversations. Note that this only secures the network connections. Once your words reach the computer of each person you are talking to in the mud, there are no restrictions on what can be done with them.
