Help on: spell gate

A magician uses the gate spell to summon a supernatural being to serve as the magician's servant. The spell is not without risk for if the magician does succeed in summoning a daemon but fails to charm it, the daemon becomes angry and attacks the magician.

If the magician does manage to charm the daemon, but already has charmed followers, the daemon flees in fright from any of higher level and eats any of lower level.

The duration of this magic varies depending on the intelligence of daemon and magician. Durations of a few days are common.
