Help on: saves

'Saves' are die rolls to determine if a particular attribute combines with a lucky die roll to mitigate the effect of something nasty that is about to happen to you. There are six different types of saves and each one is impacted by different character statistics.

Mental Saves:
  Illusion	 Focus & Perception	 A hallucination may linger for
					    a while once you succumb to one.
  Magic		 Focus & Willpower	 Your mind has an innate defense
                                            against harmful magicks.
  Distraction	 Perception & Willpower	 The oldest trick in the book is
                                            to distract your opponent.
Physical Saves:
  Breath	 Agility & Endurance	 A spraying attack that may hit
					    everyone in the room.
  Petrification	 Agility & Strength	 Once your mobility is compromised,
					    you are an easy target.
  Poison	 Endurance & Strength	 There are many poisons, at the least
					    you will heal slowly until cured.

Different races may have intrinsic saves.
